Job Location: San Francisco Department Overview Gas Distribution
Engineering & Design (GDED) is focused on ensuring the safe and
reliable flow of natural gas to our customers. As a whole, GDED is
responsible for all aspects of PG&E's gas distribution
engineering and design of Distribution assets. Position Summary
This position will supervise 18 direct reports and provide
technical support/guidance to local gas departments. Ensure gas
distribution facilities are engineered and properly designed. This
position oversees Region 3A, Divisions San Francisco and Peninsula.
Preference for incumbent to live within one hour of regional
headquarters for emergency response and support requirements. This
position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your
assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work
location will be within the PG&E Service Territory (San
Francisco, CA). Travel is involved within the region and it will be
around 20% of work schedule. Position duties may include (but are
not limited to)- Safety: incorporate safety into work practice for
design review and for engineering staff. Supervision: provide
supervision, direction, developmental training and performance
evaluation for the team. Construction and Compliance Support:
support the local Maintenance & Construction (M&C) organization
to ensure compliance with California Public Utility Commission
(CPUC), Department of Transportation (DOT) and company standards.
Finance: manage and monitor PCC budget including overtime and
productive capacity factor. Design: responsible for the preparation
of cost estimates & designs for assigned projects. Performance:

providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes
it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This
compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The
actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple
factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education,
licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic
location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful
candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or
entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a
case-by-case basis related to these factors.? A reasonable salary
range is:? Bay Area Minimum:$140,000 Bay Area Maximum:$238,000 This
job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary
incentive compensation programs. Job Responsibilities • Oversees
engineering project design initiation and final approval while
continuously monitoring and evaluating work processes to increase
efficiency. • Identifies system risks and takes appropriate actions
to mitigate risks to ensure a safe and reliable gas system. •
Provides technical guidance to system projects, processes, standard
updates, and special assignments as needed to match business needs.
• Ensures work is performed to company standard, State regulation,
and Federal Code of regulation and take action to correct
deficiencies. • Supervisory Responsibility- Recruit/select,
communicate expectations, foster employee engagement, coach,
develop, mentor, recognize and reward employees in order to drive
performance and results. Manages Professional and Union employees
and Contractors. Qualifications- Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree or
Equivalent Experience 5 years of relevant experience Desired:
Experience using Company software and tools 2 years of supervisory
experience 5 years of experience in engineering including gas
distribution engineering A Bachelor of Science degree in
Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education,
training, and experience
