Position Requirements Valid California Smog Technician License Strong ability to diagnose and repair emissions-related and drivability issues Solid understanding of OBD-II systems and engine/emissions controls Able to self-manage — no micromanagement, no hand-holding Works with urgency while maintaining accuracy and safety Organized, accountable, and consistent in daily production Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record What You’ll Be Doing Performing California smog inspections accurately and efficiently Diagnosing vehicles that fail smog tests Completing emissions and related mechanical repairs when needed Clearly documenting inspection results and repair recommendations Working with a team that values speed, communication, and respect Schedule Monday through Friday No weekends Compensation $60,000 – $110,000 annual earning potential Production-based (flat-rate) pay Performance-driven: the more efficiently you work, the more you make Steady workflow with real opportunity to produce Benefits Health benefits Simple IRA retirement plan Paid vacation Paid holidays Our Culture Clean, organized, professional shop Clear systems and expectations High urgency, high standards, low drama No micromanagement — we trust professionals to manage their day and results About Trustlane Automotive We focus on long-term relationships, honest recommendations, and quality work done efficiently.
