Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California
building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with

Engineering team you will report to the Manager of Maintenance
Engineering, and will help develop the Technical Publications and
its processes in support of certification efforts for Archer
Aircraft. What you’ll do Interfacing with Design Engineering and
Technical Writers, as part of the Maintenance Engineering team, you
will be responsible for authoring, reviewing and validating
maintenance procedures for the Archer Midnight aircraft. Execute on
project deliverables for the delivery of all Maintenance Manuals to
Archer’s customers; Support the inception of aircraft into new
customers fleet as it relates to Maintenance Manuals deliverables,
and supporting activities. Supporting Archer customers as it
relates to Maintenance activities at customer sites if required;
Provide technical expertise to guide Archer’s Technical
Publications process enhancements; Participate in creating the
processes which will allow maintenance data gathering of scheduled
and unscheduled maintenance findings to optimize the aircraft
maintenance throughout its lifecycle; Be part of the implementation
of the Technical Publications processes (development and
sustainment); Contribute to improving internal processes and tools,
ensuring adherence to certifying authorities requirements and the
safety and reliability of the product; Support the ICA approval
process with certification and validation authorities; What we are

solving; Bachelor’s degree in related field and 10 years experience
with aircraft maintenance or related field; Technical Strong
experience with technical publications authoring, reviewing and
validation as a maintenance engineer; FAA A&P certified
technician; Experience with S1000D projects, including Publication
Modules, Data Modules, DMRL, etc; Knowledge of Extensible Markup
Language (XML) and Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML);
Experience with Adobe Frame Maker and Adobe Illustrator; Experience
with Simplified Technical English (ADS-STE100); Experience with
style sheets (creating, modifying, integrating) creation and
customization; Aircraft Fleet Configuration Management experience
as applied to Technical Publications; Experience with processes and
tools for distribution of Technical Publications, including
Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETP) or Interactive
Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM); Experience with Sustainment
processes for technical publications, such as revision process,
change requests, Service Bulletins; Experience with CSDB, XML
authoring and Illustrations commercially available tools;
Proficiency in manipulating 3D drawings using 3D tools, such as
Siemens NX, CATIA, or other 3D modeling softwares; Nice to have
Experience with S1000D data exchange of Technical Publications and
end customers Maintenance Tracking suites such as Trax, AMOS,
Flightdocs and others; Experience with the maintenance task
procedures validation process with the FAA; Comprehensive
understanding of Instructions for Continued Airworthiness for
aircraft products, including related FAA regulations; Experience
with Siemens TeamCenter and NX; Fleet entry into service experience
as operator or OEM; Airline quality or maintenance programs or
technical publications experience; FAR 91 and 135 operational
experience in the maintenance department; Strong knowledge of, or
experience with FAR 145, repair stations. Please note that this job

strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between
$126,000- $220,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined
by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
