Overview:Community Regional Medical Center is the flagship hospital of Community Medical Centers a private, not-for-profit healthcare system based in Fresno, California, and the largest healthcare provider and private employer in central California. Our goal is to provide care for the ENTIRE family receiving patients from a seven county referral area. The patients receive care for a variety of life-threatening medical and surgical conditions, using a family centered care approach. Nurses in the PICU learn the skills necessary to maintain vital functions for these fragile children, while supporting their families through difficult times.
The RN Unit Manager is accountable for the direction, supervision and evaluation of patient care performed by nursing personnel within their assigned service setting in accordance with established goals. Responsible for unit operation, scheduling, position control, staffing and coordination of the quality improvement process. Applies advanced, broad-based knowledge of nursing practice and theory as well as advanced knowledge of techniques of supervision, management, and leadership as applied to specific nursing responsibilities.Qualifications:Minimum requirements include: Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program. Current RN license for the state of California and BLS certification. Demonstrated expertise in the service area and leadership ability. Three to five years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting. Previous leadership experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting.
