The Charge Nurse RN leads the treatment floor and is required to make independent decisions using professional nursing knowledge. As an integral member of the health care team, coordinates patient care and communicates, delegates and collaborates extensively with the other members of the health care team, patients, and/or patients' family or responsible party. *Essential Functions* * Maintain awareness of the general course of all patients on the shift, as well as all patients in the center; draws upon this knowledge to individualize treatments and prioritize care. * Directs staff in work assignments and revises patient schedule and staff assignment for maximum efficiency and meet patient acuity needs on a daily basis * Effectively manages rapidly changing situations in a timely manner * Delegates and monitors care rendered by members of healthcare team in collaboration with the Clinical Manager (CM) and Medical Director (MD). * Advise, direct and counsel staff as needed. * Demonstrates the ability to assume the day-to-day functions of the Clinical Manager in their absence, (i.e.) staffing, admission management, etc. *About You* Making life better for those with kidney disease is a mission you can embrace fully and passionately. With everything Satellite is doing to be a force for progress in the industry, you have many options before you. *Minimum* *Qualifications:* *Experience:* One (1) year Registered Nurse general nursing experience; three (3) months experience in the applicable Dialysis modality (HD, PD or HHD) *Education: *Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent, BSN preferred *License/Certification:* * *Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice; current CPR certification *Preferred Qualifications:* *Experience: *1+ years experience in Dialysis. Leadership experience, CNN or CDN **** Bilingual Spanish is a plus****
