Job Description:

Facility is actively seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment in Modesto, CA . The ideal candidate will be skilled in both Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology (EP) procedures, with proficiency in scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring. Key Responsibilities: Assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including PCI, pacemaker insertions, and peripheral angiograms. Prepare and maintain sterile fields, scrub during procedures, and ensure accurate patient monitoring. Operate and maintain specialized Cath Lab equipment including fluoroscopy, Impella devices, IABP, rotablator athrectomy, and vascular closure systems. Accurately document procedural details and patient responses. Support Electrophysiology procedures such as pacemaker insertion and cardiac ablations. Participate in regular on-call rotations and be available for emergencies. Required Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of Cath Lab experience required Certifications: RCIS (CCI) or ARRT with California License – Required BLS (AHA or American Red Cross) – Required ACLS (AHA or American Red Cross) – Required Travel Experience: Required Charting Experience: Epic – Preferred Key Skills: Scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring Cath Lab procedures Hemodynamic monitoring Proficiency in interpreting arrhythmias and EKGs Familiarity with specialized procedures such as: IABP Placement/Removal Impella Insertion Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)* Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation/Replacement (TAVI/TAVR)* Rotablader Athrectomy Temporary Pacemaker Watchman Device Placement* (*Preferred but not mandatory) Schedule & Call Requirements: Shifts: 4x10s, Day Shift (Choice of 6:45 AM or 8:45 AM starts) Call: 8–12 call shifts per month required At least 1 weekend of call required per month Weekend Coverage: On-call, not regular shifts Pre-Approved Time Off (RTO): 1 request allowed; only 1 holiday will be approved Facility Details: Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital Patient Population: Adults Observed Holidays: New Year’s, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas (7 PM before – 7 AM after)
