Summary and Qualifications The Director of Medical Staff Services
is responsible for the management, coordination, and oversight of
the Medical Staff Services Department, including physician and
allied health credentialing and credentialing, meeting management,
and flow of information from medical staff committees through the
Medical Staff Executive Committee and the Governing Board.
Additional responsibilities include oversight and management of the
Accredited Joint Continuing Medical Education program and the
Medical Library. • You will maintain current knowledge of standards
of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare
Organizations, California Title XXII regulations, Medicare
Conditions of Participation, National Committee on Quality
Assurance, and other state and federal regulations related to
Medical Staff organization and assist in preparing the organization
for accreditation and licensing surveys as related to Medical Staff
functions. • You will be responsible for supervising, delegating
and coordinating the work of the Medical Staff Services Department,
Joint Continuing Medical Education Coordinator, and Medical Library
staff. • You will work with minimal supervision and proceed on your
own initiative, in compliance with policies, practices and
procedures of the hospital and accepted professional standards for
the position. What qualifications you will need: • Bachelor’s
degree in business or health related field preferred • Current
NAMSS Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and/or
Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM)
certification required • Minimum five (5) years prior experience in
Medical Staff Services in a management or supervisory position Good
