Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience required. An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist to support an elementary school caseload in San Jose, CA. This contract position requires a commitment of 7 hours per week, scheduled for one full day, providing in-person therapy services directly within the school setting. The role offers the potential for renewal the following academic year, based on performance and fit. Responsibilities: - Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to elementary students - Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each student's needs - Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary - Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines - Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with families and staff Qualifications: - Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with a valid California license - Experience working within a school system, preferably with elementary-aged children - Strong understanding of educational policies, therapy interventions, and IDEA regulations - Ability to establish rapport with students and coordinate care with educators - Excellent organizational and communication skills Location and Schedule: - In-person role based in San Jose, CA - 7 hours per week, one day per week This role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact in a school environment, helping children develop vital skills for academic and personal success.
