Salinas Valley Health Emergency Department in Salinas, CA seeks a Nursing Director to lead, control, plan, organize, and evaluate the efficient delivery of the dept's operation on a 24 hour basis.

BS Nursing and Valid CA nursing license and Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status per American Heart Association standards.

Must have 3 years of clinical and managerial experience in an acute care hospital including: 1.

Knowledge of current nursing principles, laws, regulations, and hospital guidelines for nursing care of patients.

2.

Principles of CQI and ability to apply these principles including PDSA to improve unit work.

3.

Promote effective collaboration and teamwork 4.

Fiscal management skills 5.

HR management.

6.

Mgt and supervisory theories, principles, practices, techniques and methods.

7.

Identify and analyze complex perioperative, post sedation, endoscopic and ambulatory patient care issues.
