You optimize your own code and ensure Engineers can optimize theirs. As a Software Engineering Manager, you manage project goals, contribute to product strategy, and help develop your team. Teams work across various areas such as information retrieval, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, security, data compression, and user interface design. Our engineers operate at scale and speed, and as a manager, you guide the way.
    
    With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, oversee large product budgets, and deploy large-scale projects internationally.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges depend on role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share specific details for your preferred location during hiring.

    Responsibilities

    • Set and communicate team priorities supporting broader organizational goals. Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
      
    • Set clear expectations with individuals based on their roles and levels, and hold regular performance and development discussions.
      
    • Develop and evolve the mid-term technical vision and roadmap within your teams, anticipating future needs.
      
    • Design, guide, and review system designs, and write code to solve complex, ambiguous problems.
      
    • Review code developed by engineers, providing feedback to ensure best practices, style, accuracy, and efficiency.
