At Walmart Inc., a leader in global retail, we are seeking a seasoned Principal Software Engineer to propel our technological innovations and maintain our position at the forefront of the industry. As part of our IT & Cybersecurity team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and leading software solutions that enhance our extensive operational capabilities and enrich customer experiences. Working at our Bentonville, AR headquarters, you will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to push the boundaries of what's possible in retail technology, driven by our commitment to improving the lives of millions daily. Design, develop, and lead the implementation of software solutions to meet business and IT needs. Ensure the creation of robust, scalable, and secure systems. Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery. Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship. Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits. Collaborate with other software engineers and stakeholders, reviewing code work for accuracy and functionality. Create and maintain documentation for software solutions, best practices, and system architecture. Expertise in multiple software programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#). Strong understanding of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and API integration. Profound knowledge in cybersecurity principles to ensure secure software development. Ability to troubleshoot complex software issues. Capacity to work in fast-paced environments and manage large software development projects.
