Job Description:
Walmart Inc., a leading global retailer, is looking for a
Principal Software Engineer with a specialization in Android app
development to join our dynamic IT team. The role requires
designing and building advanced applications for the Android
platform in our effort to enhance user interactions through our
mobile channels. Working within our IT and Data Management
division, you will lead a team in innovating and streamlining our
mobile commerce experience. Your expertise will directly contribute
to the seamless shopping experience for millions of our customers
worldwide. Lead the design, development, and maintenance of
advanced applications on the Android platform. Collaborate with
cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of
applications. Mentor junior engineers, code review, and implement
best practices. Stay up-to-date with new technology trends,
applications, and protocols in the mobile space. Proficiency in
Kotlin and Java Strong understanding of Android SDK Experience with
offline storage, threading, and performance tuning Ability to
design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch”
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Experience with continuous integration Medical Insurance Dental

Certification (e.g., Google’s Associate Android Developer, Android
Certified Application Developer) Relevant industry certifications
