Profit Centers (PCs), is run by the Profit Center Manager as if it
were their own small business. A typical Profit Center is the heart
of our business and consists of a warehouse, counter, sales office,
and (sometimes) a showroom. Our PCs conduct business under unique
trade names and offer a customized business approach, honoring
what’s special about each local marketplace. WHCI Plumbing Supply
is one of those trade names and is looking for a Water Heater
Delivery Driver - non CDL at their Union City, CA location. Pay for
Water Heater Delivery Driver - non CDL is between $23 and $25 per
hour at this location. Are you friendly and do you thrive on

like you to join our team as a Water Heater Delivery Driver - non
CDL. About the Role: You will: • Operate trucks safely and in
compliance with Company rules, applicable laws, and regulations.
Destinations include job sites, customer facilities, vendor
facilities, other Hajoca locations, facilities of other
wholesalers, or other locations as directed by management. • Load
the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise to be
delivered. Secure the load properly so that nothing will shift, get
damaged, or fall from the truck. Ensure that the necessary
equipment to safely unload the merchandise is available. •
Understand the shipping documents that are associated with the
merchandise for each delivery and have accurate directions to each
delivery destination. • Review shipping documentation and ensure
order accuracy. • Unload correct merchandise from the truck and
place it where the receiving party wants it. Obtain legible
signature for all merchandise delivered per Company policy and
procedure. • Collect and secure outstanding payments for all cash
sale deliveries prior to releasing the material to the customer. •
Work with customers at the delivery site to resolve shipping
discrepancies quickly and accurately. • Load the truck at other
locations with merchandise. This includes merchandise picked up at
vendor locations, returned by customers, and purchased from other
wholesalers. • Provide sales leads by noting prospective customer
names and addresses discovered in the course of making deliveries.
• Inspect the truck and required parts and accessories to determine
safe operating condition prior to departure from the Hajoca
location. Keep truck clean of debris in cab and body. • Advise
management of any mechanical problems with the truck. At the end of
the workday, complete the Driver’s Daily Vehicle Inspection Report
when driving a delivery vehicle with a gross vehicle weight (GVWR)
of 10,001 lbs. or more if a defect or deficiency is found. • At the
end of the workday, remove keys from the truck and store keys in
the approved location. • Successfully complete required safety and
compliance training programs as assigned. • Perform other
reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and
other management as required. About You: • Be able to drive a
vehicle over 10,000 lbs. As a non-CDL driver, you must: • Be at
least 21 years old • Possess a proper and valid driver’s license •
Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an
Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy. • Be able to
pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before
beginning work and again at least every two years while employed
and performing this job function. Our ideal candidate will also: •
Know the laws, rules and regulations governing driving motor
vehicles in general, and commercial motor vehicles subject to
Department of Transportation regulations in particular. • Know of,
be able to apply, and practice safety precautions in a warehouse
and material handling environment. • Be able to build and maintain
a positive working relationship with customers, vendors and
co-workers. • Be able to remain calm and function effectively in
stressful, unexpected, and/or emergency situations. • Be able to
learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment. • Be able
to learn and operate the computer related systems used in the
delivery process. • Read, write, speak and understand English. • Be
able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals. Additional Requirements: • Tasks
involve delivering large and heavy water heaters • Using a stair
climber • Able to go up and down stairs and small hallways •
Ensuring timely and safe deliveries • Operating trucks, equipment,
and using a lift gate • Maintaining communication with customers
and supervisors • Able to handle emergency 24hr, afterhours, and
weekend calls to make WH deliveries. • When not delivering heaters
you will drive routes as a backup driver, assist warehouse
personnel with pulling orders, help receiving, and loading trucks.
