Position overview:
The Factory Commissioning Group Lead oversees the end-to-end
commissioning process for rolling stock vehicles, ensuring timely
execution of testing, repairs, and modifications. Based in
Sacramento, this role serves as the primary liaison between
internal teams and external customers, driving performance, safety,
and communication excellence. With a focus on team leadership and
operational efficiency, the lead ensures all commissioning
activities align with project goals and safety standards.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Employee relations including employee motivation, effective two-way communication and engagement
- Performance Management: monitor and take action to maintain performance levels
- Resource Management: plan to meet team resource needs and recruit and induct employees
- Schedule Management; collaborating on and executing schedules for commissioning, repair and modification activity.
- Customer Engagement: main point of contact with the customers, internal and external, to communicate status, plans forward, and problem resolution.
- Safety: demonstrate role model behavior that promotes a
zero-harm culture.
To thrive in this role, you have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of successful experience testing Rolling Stock
- Must have excellent communication skills.

The rate may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications .
